Furnace is a tool used to produce heat by burning fuel, the Residue Catalytic Cracker Complex (RCC) is one that functions to process residue into high-value oil products with one of the main tools being a furnace. This research aims to determine the performance of the furnace by looking at the correlation between the flue gas flow and the actual thermal efficiency value of the Furnace (15- F-102). This research reviews the flue gas flow rate value against the thermal efficiency value and to find out efficiency requires actual data including air, fuel and flue gas temperature, in addition there is fuel gas flow to get the efficiency value. Based on the results of field analysis and calculation results, the working principle of the Furnace (15-F-102) is to heat crude oil by utilizing the heat resulting from fuel combustion. The results of the actual data and calculations for 10 days on 11-30 May 2023 obtained an average value flow flue gas 7957.46 M3 / hour while the average value of thermal efficiency in the furnace is 77.84%. These results show that the furnace performance is still in normal condition.
